A beautiful garden oasis where curbstone, paving stone, slate and pool stone are combined.
Stone is an excellent material to mainly lay as curbstones and paving around the pool. In addition to being stylish and durable, it can also be ordered in many different shades and types of stone. A stone pool edge does not age like wood does over time and gives a feeling of luxury that looks good. The surface, which is often blasted, flamed, naturally foamed or comes with an anti-slip treatment, gives your pool curb a structured but smooth surface that reduces the risk of slipping. The surface creates a pebble that is nice to walk on while waiting for your turn in the diving competition.

Granite is a durable material that gives garden surfaces good function and a luxurious impression. Combining tiles and other products around the garden can create a very coherent outdoor environment. Many of our granite slabs are also available in matching pool curbs in both straight models and inside corners for 90° angles. You can also choose your pool stone granite in several different stone widths well adapted to different pool needs. Narrower stones where, for example, a pool cover needs to be able to go over the pool and wider models when there is more surface to play on. Most granite stones for the pool come with a rounded edge, but where the smooth side meets the material of the pool area. For those who also want a rounded edge towards the pool deck, there is our Poolstone Granite Straight Gray 600x300x50mm . This stone comes thicker than our other stones in the range and has double-sided rounded long sides, which gives a softer impression.

Something that is also becoming increasingly common is laying granite ceramics and frost-resistant tiles in the garden and not least around the pool. The tiles are very durable and usually easier to lay than natural stone given their sharp format. Our very popular Granite ceramics are available in many different models, textures and shades. Most models also come with associated pool curbs . A perfect way to be able to match your pool area and achieve a smooth and pleasant transition between the social area and pool edge. Just as stone can gild around the pool, you can also provide a beautiful lining to the inside of the pool. Here, for some constructions, you can use mosaics and other stylish materials to put a personal touch on your summer oasis.
For those of you who are weak to slate tiles , the irregular slate will be particularly beautiful to embrace the pool with. The best result is if you combine with a customized pool curb in similar shades. Choose from our different slates and find a shade and a format that fits around your pool. The big advantage of slate in particular is that it comes with a so-called claw surface, which contributes to a nice tear to the surface and an incredibly good structure for the foot. Not least around a pool, a surface structure is preferable where on summer days with laughter and play water can be splashed over the surfaces. Mount in one of our Glimmer slates, Oppdals slates or Swedish classic Offerdals slates for a combination with your chosen pool curb.
A lovely solution where a garden bench is created with the components of a block step and two post elements in granite .
When it comes to the assembly itself, there are of course a couple of different ways to go and it all depends on how the pool's edge is constructed and what material you have to attach it to.
All pools look different and constructions can differ greatly. So it is important to agree with the pool manufacturer what applies to your particular pool construction and how you can most appropriately attach your flagstone. Different designs may need different assembly methods and some adjustments may need to be made on site for a successful project. Sealing is also important to keep moisture away from the stone's attachment point.
Make sure the edge keeps a good width for the stone to rest against. A pool stone needs adhesive to remain stable. Install your pool curb before you connect with the tiles themselves or the patio deck. This so you get a good line and edge to start from. As a good help to get your assembly straight, you can use mason's string or the like to simply get a straight line. Spirit level is also an invaluable tool during the trip. Small protruding edges often cause great irritation. In order for the edge to achieve as neat and even a result as possible, it is important to get the plates alive and completely straight.
Our pool stones come with a width of 200-300mm and in both fixed lengths and falling formats. Take into account that the pool stone should also have a small overhang over the edge towards the pool.
Tips from Stenbolaget:
- Lay the stone level with the rest of the pool floor. Then you avoid the "stumbling edge" and the smooth edge that the outside of the stone has.
- A stylish solution is to combine our granite in either a gray or graphite gray shade with your choice of material around the pool. if the tire is light, it can be nice with an edge that breaks off a bit in shade and texture. You then get an interruption and a nice contrast between the surface and the edge of the pool.
- Don't forget the lighting, a must for the summer evening dip. Choose custom fixtures to have in the pool or around your pool area. Choose and choose from all our garden lighting and fixtures.
