A new entrance
Just let your imagination run wild!
We had new drainage around the house. And we then decided to build a new patio and lay new tiles from the gate and around the patio. We also wanted to create new discounts.
A little preparatory work.
After a few days of preparatory work, we were able to start work. All the preparatory work is what everything rests on and makes it will be good.
String, tube and spirit level
Taking your time and having the right stuff makes everything go a little smoother. The laces to get it straight. Stir in the underlying gravel to draw a board, make the surface smooth and fine. Underneath the ground, a ground cloth for those who want to pull weeds later.
Discount
Now we will create places for beautiful plants to live in. It will be like putting together a puzzle. Subwork to make it stable is not to be neglected.
1m at a time.
It grows forward and it is a positive creation. You can see how the pattern is starting to form. Patterns were clever to choose, I had lots of ideas. A little further on we encountered a level difference. Here we have to create some transition to the balcony side.
Why lay the tiles straight?
Now we want to complicate things a bit and add a diagonal pattern and create an eye-catcher in the form of a circle. There will be a lot of stone cutting.
White stone.
We fill the circle with something nice. An eye-catcher when you enter.
A little tip how we did it.
A board at the front makes it easy to get it straight. Since we laid a slanted pattern, some stone had to be adjusted. Here we first measure where the edge should be. Hold something to follow the stone edge with (here a thumbstick.)
More discounts.
We create a rise to the grass. Here it will be nice with a discount on each page.
After many evenings, we are at the finish line.
A nice feeling comes inside when you're done. Something you created yourself without really knowing how it would turn out. It has been really fun and educational. We joined with a flexible hard joint that will keep ants at bay Brick maxi and flagstone macro grey.
