Mediterranean-inspired stone patio
From high ground to a nice Mediterranean feeling
After draining around the house, it took a lot of work to restore the patio behind the house. With the help of several tons of shingle, almost six tons of earth, tumbled ground stone and brick, we created a Mediterranean-inspired and slightly "secret" place without visibility.
The corner against the house wall
On the surface in the corner by the house and the orangery, we laid tumbled paving stones in a gray mix. Brick Maxi frames. A rock heel was hidden with an elevation of the rock face.
We had a good foundation of shingle after the drainage that was vibrated. Ground cloth was used to hold the sand in place. For the joints we used "cement joint" to avoid weeds and it has worked very well so far. We fixed the bricks with construction glue.

A winding path in stone..
To divide the planting and make it easy to get to the tree house, the tree swing and the storage area behind the carport, we laid a winding path of paving stones. An old granite block became a bench, another became a step.
We built a stone planter box for the ornamental grass that will hide the surface behind the carport.
Flexible stone
With brick Maxi, you can create both curved walls, stylish corners and it also works for steps.
Lovely oasis!
We've got a lovely patio where stone and plants together give a Mediterranean feel and where you like to settle down with a book or a cup of coffee. The fact that we did all the work ourselves means that we enjoy the result a little extra.
