Clinker and granite ceramics

Clinker and granite ceramics
If you are going to lay a floor in a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen or hall, then you have found exactly the right floor choice in granite ceramics. Despite having nothing to do with the natural stone granite, the name Granitkeramik is intended to describe the hardness of the product. Granite ceramics are made by pressing finely ground porcelain clays under high pressure and then firing them at high temperatures. This gives the material a high density and low moisture absorption, which makes the tiles incredibly durable. Our granite ceramic tiles hold very precise shapes and facilitate your floor laying and wall mounting. Choose from a wide range of sizes, colors and shades and find a floor tile that suits your room and indoor project.

The granite ceramics are also available in variants created for outdoor use .
A versatile material, stylish and easy-to-clean choice! Laying tiles in the hall, bathroom, kitchen and the rest of the home is completely possible and creates homely surfaces. Granite ceramic is a material that is also used in our gardens but is incredibly popular in our home environments. The thin clinker tiles are advantageously installed on both floors and walls. The good properties of granite ceramics pave the way for the use of the tiles and today we can install this type of tile in all rooms in both the private home environment and the public area. In both shopping malls, stores and terminal floors, it is common to come across granite ceramics in particular. The tiles withstand abrasion and provide a good walking surface even in environments where foot traffic occurs to a greater degree.
Granite ceramics are manufactured by firing at high temperatures and under very high pressure. This gives an incredibly hard clinker with high material density, low moisture absorption and high resistance. Granite ceramics provide a long-lasting floor that is easier to maintain than many other materials.

Nature's surfaces have left their mark
It can be difficult to tell the difference between granite ceramic tiles and real natural stone.
The patterned surface is also carefully selected and produced for tiles in the series that are as natural as possible, so natural that it can be difficult to tell the difference between real natural stone and granite ceramics! For as natural and living a surface as possible, the granite ceramics come with many different pattern images, textures and rich in nature's own elements. Fossils and imprints are common in a couple of our series.
Choose from a range of different shades and surface formats and find the right tiled floor or tiles for wall mounting that suits you and your room.

In our range you will find tiles and granite ceramics with the impression of real natural stone and above all limestone . Limestone is a trendy material for both home and garden. But limestone encounters some setbacks when it comes to certain surfaces as the stone is sensitive to spills and acid.
This is where granite ceramics come into the picture. You get a clinker with the impression of real limestone but with better properties.

The properties of granite ceramics
One of the great advantages of granite ceramics is its spill-resistant surface. The tiles have a low water absorption and have difficulty absorbing spills and forming stains. The scratch resistance is also very good as this type of tile has a hard surface. You get a spill-resistant floor and easy-to-clean surfaces simply. As the plates are resistant to abrasion, they can also be installed where tougher requirements are set.
Granite ceramic with the impression of limestone opens the doors for installation throughout the home, which even the real material cannot handle. Limestone is a more acid-sensitive and softer stone material than other natural stones and should not, for example, be installed in the shower corner itself, where the stone can actually be damaged. Granite ceramics can be laid in the hall, kitchen, bedroom, living room and bathroom and can create a coherent feeling throughout the home.

Granite ceramics one tile for the whole home
Regardless of the style of the home, granite ceramics are a good choice. Plates in larger formats speak a mother's language, while the smaller plates in the series speak a more classy language.
The clinker tiles made of granite ceramics come in several different patterns and are adapted during the actual laying, these are distributed over the surface when you lay the clinker for as good a spread and vivid results as possible. Remember to take from several different packages when laying tiles and granite ceramics. In this way, you spread out the shades and get a natural spread over your floor or walls. This is also something we recommend when laying tiles for outdoors, ground stone, masonry and other constructions. Getting a spread between different packages conjures up any shade differences and makes for a more vibrant flooring or wall mounting.

Assembly and processing
The granite ceramics come in very sharp dimensions, which means that you can mount your tiles with a relatively narrow joint. However, laying the tiles without a joint is not recommended and a joint width of at least 2mm should be added. Clinker floors made of granite ceramics must be installed with a fix and joint suitable for granite ceramics and can of course be installed with underfloor heating for increased comfort in the home.
