Ethic and moral

Production of natural stone is a craft that requires a lot of manual work. A large part of the manufacturing is done by workers from China and Portugal under poor working conditions. In order to guarantee working conditions and quality, we have chosen to start a 100% owned factory in Izmir Turkey, where we are responsible for everything being handled according to our values. Now we can guarantee the working conditions and the quality of the products and are 3rd party audited by Sedex, ISO 9001 ISO 26000, Ohsas 18001 and ISO 14001. We will not always be the cheapest but you can trust that we produce stone of the highest quality and take the greatest consideration environment and working conditions. We handle the entire chain from quarry to finished product in stock in Sweden.

Environment

We work actively with our environmental work in our factory. All production machines are electrically powered and since January 2021 they are 100% powered by electricity from solar and wind power. Production of natural stone is dependent on large amounts of water and today the entire production is handled in a closed water system where all water is purified and recycled. We transport our material for the most part via boat to minimize CO2 impact and ship directly to the respective central warehouse to minimize truck transport within Sweden.

ISO 26000:2013
For Stenbolaget, social responsibility is a high priority with good working conditions in a modern business. Active work with local and international guidelines, community involvement and social responsibility are among other things that ISO 26000 demonstrates.

ISO 14001:2015
The standard establishes an environmental responsibility and a systematic work with the minimization of emissions and waste.

ISO 9001:2015
Certificate for the organization's management system that demonstrates a good standard. ISO 9001 contributes to more efficient operations and business development, both for customers and employees.

ISO 45001:2018
Certificate for the organization's safety and health system demonstrating a good standard. ISO 45001 contributes to a safer and more secure work environment for employees.

OHSAS 18001:2007
The working environment and safety at the workplace always come first. Ohsas 18001 proves the preventive work around work environment risks that Stenbolaget constantly works with.
