Alböke Borstad Grå is a classic and beautiful limestone from Öland. Best suited for floors indoors in halls, kitchens and other floor surfaces.

Appearance

The color is stylish grey, but the greatness of Alböke limestone is its fossil elements and marbling, which makes each slab unique. These tiles are 300mm wide and come in descending lengths. With varying lengths of the stone, the stones are laid in a classic way and give the surface an even more lively impression. The plates are 12 mm thick.

Surface structure

This variant is antique brushed, which gives a slightly structured surface. Although the surface remains soft and comfortable to walk on, this surface treatment gives the stone a more rustic feel than a polished or planed limestone.

Installation and maintenance

When laying falling lengths, spillage is minimized by piecing together the surface, normally the spillage rate is 10%. Limestone in bathrooms will be incredibly beautiful - remember, however, that it is a sensitive stone that should not be exposed to strong chemicals and acidic substances. For this reason, a hot tip is not to put limestone in the shower area, for example, where a lot of water with soap and shampoo comes into contact with the floor and wall.

When the stone is to be laid, we recommend a natural stone fix for the best results., KTF55 is a good choice of fix for Alböke. A cement-based hard joint is needed for the joint, Murexin FM60 is a good alternative to it.

When the surface is jointed and ready, it is good to clean the surface with a stone soap and impregnate the surface with a suitable impregnation.
