Alböke Planed Gray is an exclusively processed limestone from Mysinge Stenhuggeri on Öland. Best suited for indoor floors in hallways, kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms.

Appearance

The planed surface of Alböke gives a more discreet and minimalist feel than the sanded and brushed versions. This surface treatment has a more demanding processing in the manufacture, but the end result gives an incredible result and the tiles acquire a very beautiful patina over the years. These tiles are 200mm wide and come in descending lengths. With varying lengths of the stone, the stones are laid in a classic way and give the surface an even more lively impression. The plates are 12 mm thick.

Surface structure

This variant is planed, which gives a smooth and discreet surface. The surface becomes smooth with only a slight roughness that is warm and comfortable to walk on.

Installation and maintenance

When laying falling lengths, spillage is minimized by piecing together the surface, normally the spillage rate is 10%. Limestone in bathrooms will be incredibly beautiful - remember, however, that it is a sensitive stone that should not be exposed to strong chemicals and acidic substances. For this reason, a hot tip is not to put limestone in the shower area, for example, where a lot of soap and shampoo come into contact with the floor and wall.

When the stone is to be laid, we recommend a natural stone fix for the best results. KTF55 is a good choice of fix for Alböke. A cement-based hard joint is needed for the joint, Murexin FM60 is a good alternative to it.

When the surface is jointed and ready, it is good to clean the surface with a stone soap and impregnate the surface with a suitable impregnation.
