Beautiful limestone floor originating from Öland. The stone floor comes with a finely polished surface. The stone is available in several different sizes, this particular model has a width of 300mm and comes in varying lengths.

Appearance

The color is grey, but the greatness of Alböke limestone is its wide color variations, mottled surfaces, fossil features and strong veins, which make each slab unique. These tiles come in precisely falling lengths, which means that the width is in a fixed format, while the length of the stone varies widely. The limestone Alböke Gray Polished gives a homely feeling and can be installed in a number of different rooms in both domestic and public environments. The plates are 12 mm thick and can be laid in many environments but should preferably be avoided where there are chemically unsuitable substances and in shower areas.

Surface structure

This variant is finely sanded, which gives a very soft and smooth surface, which is perfect for the home environment. Limestone is a natural material where color changes and graining can occur and is what also contributes to the uniqueness of your stone floor.

Installation and maintenance

These tiles are cut in a fixed format, which makes it easy to calculate how much waste can be used, normally the waste rate is around 10%. Limestone in bathrooms will be incredibly beautiful - remember, however, that it is a sensitive stone that should not be exposed to strong chemicals and acidic substances. For this reason, a hot tip is not to put limestone in the shower area, for example, where a lot of water with soap and shampoo comes into contact with the floor and wall.

When the stone is to be laid, we recommend a natural stone fix for the best results. KTF55 is a good choice of fix for Alböke. A cement-based hard joint is needed for the joint, Murexin FM60 is a good alternative to it.
