Beautiful limestone floor from Öland in a soft grey-brown tone. The stone has a lot of pattern, which gives it a lively appearance. The floor tiles are available in several different sizes, where this particular variant is square tiles in the size 400x400mm.
A stone is suitable in most indoor environments, but should be avoided in places where chemicals and acidic substances are present.

Appearance

The color is grey-brown and makes the tiles strike in many different tones. The greatness of particular limestone and Alböke limestone from Öland is its wide color variations. The tiles come mixed and if you're lucky, there are fossil elements. However, this only occurs in certain parties and is nothing to be reckoned with. The strong veins of the limestone that run through the tiles make each tile unique. Limestone is a natural material where color changes and graining are common, this is what makes your stone floor unique. The plate is square shaped with a measurement of 400x400 millimeters and has a thickness of 12 mm.

Surface structure

This variant is finely sanded, which gives a very soft and smooth surface, which is perfect for the home environment. Although the surface remains soft and comfortable to walk on, this surface treatment gives the stone an incredibly homely feel. The limestone also gets a depth in its texture.

Installation and maintenance

These tiles are cut in a fixed format, which makes it easy to calculate how much waste can be used, normally the waste rate is around 10%. Limestone in bathrooms will be incredibly beautiful - remember, however, that it is a sensitive stone that should not be exposed to strong chemicals and acidic substances. For this reason, a hot tip is not to put limestone in the shower area, for example, where a lot of water with soap and shampoo comes into contact with the floor and wall.

When the stone is to be laid, we recommend a natural stone fix for the best results. KTF55 is a good choice of fix for Alböke. A cement-based hard joint is needed for the joint, Murexin FM60 is a good alternative to it.
