Farm gravel is a traditional gravel that can also sometimes be called farm single. This is a natural material that exists in different fractions and is used, for example, for filling garden paths, courtyards, drainage and patios. The stone provides a nice footpath and lies nicely.

The farm gravel from Stenbolaget comes in the fraction 4-8 as this indicates the span of the stones. This provides a stable surface for the undressed foot in the summer. Farm gravel can also be used as pure decoration of a surface, but you usually go up to a coarser size than this. Pebbles can be dirty when they arrive in the bag, so remember to rinse your patio gravel thoroughly with water after laying it out, to show off your garden path at its best straight away. When in contact with water, the stone's colors intensify and you will get a play of colors between green and red tones.

This product is sorted in a type of grid, which means that both smaller and larger stones are present. The stone can stay within the mentioned fraction on one link and go through the grid, but be larger on the other link.

Consumption

As a decoration, a thinner layer with such a small fraction is often enough. Fill up until you feel satisfied and so that you cannot see the substrate shining through. A large sack with 1000 kg of farm gravel covers a decorative surface of approx. 20-23 square meters with a bed thickness of 3 cm.

And if you intend to use the material as a walkway, parking space, courtyard or dent of a stronger decorative stone surface, the bed should be increased to approx. 5 cm. With a bed thickness of just 5 cm, one big sack is enough for about 14 square meters.

Since farm gravel is a natural product that comes from nature, the shades may differ from different consignments. Sometimes a more gray scale comes and in some cases a more red and varied one. Sand-colored elements can also occur. Farm gravel is taken from different fields around the country, this also affects the shade of the stone and our stocked gravel at the time.
