Solid stone tool in the form of a chisel. The chisel, or edge iron as it is also called, together with a Portuguese hammer are a perfect pair of radars when you have to clean up and split a granite stone. The flat chisel gives a good force and to achieve straight lines when the stone is broken/sawed, this to avoid a sawed line and to keep the raw structure of the stone. The chisel is also used to make undercuts on granite curbstones and to be able to go from a sawn, blasted or flamed short side to a raw hewn side on, for example, block steps.

Sometimes you want to split a stone, process a rough-hewn surface, break the edges of a block step or achieve an aesthetic adaptation. In these cases, chisels, chisels and pickaxes are three invaluable tools.  You will find all of the mentioned stone tools and chisels in our assortment. The chisel/edge iron comes with a straight cutting surface.
