Stylish Offerdal slate with a naturally brushed surface in 12 mm thickness. Slate is a classic stone that, with its origin from Jämtland, never goes wrong and fits perfectly in our Swedish environments.

Appearance

Slate from Offerdal holds a dark gray shade that comes with a lot of shifting tones and shades. This is what makes a Slate floor so beautiful. The brushed surface treatment contributes both to character, feel and a beautiful surface structure without feeling sharp to the foot. The tiles come in descending lengths, which means that the joints end up scattered over the slate laying. Some processing and cutting is in order to create a floating floor and to adjust the stone lengths to create a natural paving.

Installation and maintenance

Laying slate is both fun and opens up great creativity. Natural stone floors create something truly unique in the home and, in addition, provide a durable surface that becomes more beautiful over time. Unlike the corresponding stone for outdoor use, this is calibrated to maintain a uniform thickness of 12 mm. In this way, it becomes easier to fix the tiles indoors, where the requirements for thickness are significantly higher than when you lay stone on, for example, a patio. Slate is installed in natural stone fix, and we recommend our fix from Murexin, KTF55 put slate in for best results. For the joint, a cement-based joint is needed, even one adapted for natural stone and slate. FM60 a good alternative to that as long as the joint does not exceed 7mm in width. The tiles can be installed with underfloor heating without any problems and fit perfectly in all areas of the home.
