Offerdal shale from the northwestern part of Sweden, specifically Jämtland. The stone has been quarried for decades and is today a very exclusive option for those looking for something stylish and unique. The calibrated product maintains an even sawn thickness and facilitates paving.

Appearance

Offerdal slate is a beautiful, shimmering and pencil-colored Swedish natural stone that is very suitable for the patio and garden path or as cladding for the garden wall. The slate has a natural claw surface, which means that the surface is rough, which contributes to significantly reducing the risk of slipping.

Size

Offerdalsskiffer Hällgolv 350, the width is the same, while the lengths vary in a wide range. The falling lengths give scattered joints and that the surface gets a natural style despite the strict lines in the tiles.

Mounting

Poured floors can be laid both in a bearing layer/setting layer and on a cast base in combination with natural stone fixings and joints. A calibrated stone comes with many advantages for the mounting itself. You don't have to level the sub-material and can lay each stone faster.

An important factor when installing slate in bearing layers and bedding layers is to frame the surface with curb stones. Choose a curbstone that works together aesthetically, but also a taller model that also provides a good framing of the substrate.
