The Swedish slate from Offerdal is an excellent choice for covering the steps and concrete foundations of the stone stairs. This is the stone for those who are looking for a lively surface that at the same time provides an exclusive setting. The stone is also available as slabs in falling lengths and in an irregular format to be able to combine and hold together a uniform garden.

Appearance and format

The stone comes with a lovely claw surface which gives a beautiful surface structure which at the same time gives the step a good grip. This therefore constitutes the actual step on your stairs and with its increased width gives a step depth of 350mm.

Mounting

The stair cladding comes in an even thickness of 25mm and is mounted using natural stone fixer. The substrate should be even and firm without cracks. For smooth surfaces and freshly poured concrete, we recommend that you prime the surface before installation to get a good adhesion of the stone to your foundation. Installation of stair cladding can be done both outdoors and indoors and gives a staircase that is rarely the same.
