Öland limestone with a finely polished surface in grey-brown tones. The stone has a very mottled surface and is rich in patterns and veins. The living surface is what makes the Öland limestone so unique. A beautiful natural stone to install as both floors and walls in your home.

Appearance

The color is gray with very brown, warm and shifting streaks running through the tiles. Limestone and, in particular, Öland limestone give a genuinely homely feeling and you get a floor surface that feels welcoming. Öland limestone goes well with classic elements in the home, but also blends nicely into modern home environments. This variant comes in descending lengths and is 200 mm wide. The falling lengths mean that the stone comes in just different lengths and you get a floor with scattered joints that lives extra over the surface.

Surface structure

With the polished surface, the stone becomes very smooth and you create a great comfort factor in the room you install. The polished surface is both easy to wash off and lies nicely underfoot. Öland limestone is perfect for surfaces where you want to achieve the natural and leave a historical mark.

Historical patterns

Limestone is a unique type of stone where you can find both veins and fossils that tell about the stone's history and time on earth. The fossil pattern images are relatively common, but are not found in all lots. Fossils become like an extra piece of jewelry on the mounted surface. So keep an eye out and see what is hiding in your new floor.

Installation and maintenance

When laying falling lengths, spillage is minimized by piecing together the surface, normally the spillage rate is around 10%. This as you always need to make tailor-made solutions in your room. Limestone in bathrooms will be incredibly beautiful - remember, however, that it is a sensitive stone that should not be exposed to strong chemicals and acidic substances. For this reason, a hot tip is not to put limestone in the shower area, for example, where a lot of water with soap and shampoo comes into contact with the floor and wall.

When the stone is to be laid, we recommend a natural stone fix for the best results, KTF55 is a good choice of fix for limestone from Öland. A cement-based hard joint is needed for the joint, Murexin FM60 is a good alternative to it and can be found in several different colors.
For best maintenance, we recommend natural stone soap for laundry care.
