Oppdal slate is a beautiful alternative for those who want a patio or garden area in natural stone. The light shade of the stone creates a harmonious garden to thrive in. This variant comes with a varying thickness of 10-20mm but holds relatively large pieces for its thickness. The smaller pieces in the pallets are perfect fitting pieces to sew your surface together and finish nicely.

Appearance

The stone's irregular shape gives you a living feeling and a surface that is rarely the same. The light shades move in harmonious shifts and strike between blue-grey and a range of different gray tones. Oppdal slate is a very exclusive stone and this irregular format will be very affordable!

Size

The size of the slate varies and a lot of cutting and processing is required when laying it. If you cut the edges, you can get a narrower joint and tighter laying. Whereas if you use the larger parts of what comes on the pallet, it becomes more puzzling and the joint can vary in a wider range.

Mounting

We recommend in the first place to put the thinner slate in natural stone fix on a poured concrete slab and with a cement-based joint for best results. If the stone is to be mounted with stone fix, KTF55 fits perfectly with this Oppdal slate. Remember to count on approx. 15% in waste for the total surface to be laid, this is standard for slightly thinner types of slate.
