A really good joint sand that we at Stenbolaget can strongly recommend! The flexible hard joint is polymer-based and hardens when moisture is added. The joint that is formed becomes both hard and slightly flexible, which creates a stable and stable paving. Stenbolaget's flexible hard joint makes it extremely difficult for weeds and ants to get through or take root. This is a must for those who want to have the most maintenance-free paving possible.

Area of ​​use

Joint sand is suitable for narrower joints and is mainly used when jointing tiles and paving stones with a smaller joint gap. Many paving stones and slabs come with so-called spacers around the stone for an automatic joint width during installation and when the paving stones are placed against each other. Maximum joint width when using flexible hard joint is 15 mm and minimum recommended joint depth is 30 mm for best possible results.

Execution and assembly

Be sure to joint your surface several times and stamp or vibrate with light vibration provided with rubber pad in between so that the sand can really run down and fill the entire depth of the joint. Be sure to follow package directions for best results for years to come. After your joint with flexible hard joint, you should blow off the surface with a leaf blower or brush with a fine brush to remove the film that may remain and then carefully water the surface.
As flexible hard joint cures with water, you should be careful that there is no precipitation in the forecast during the actual jointing phase, you don't want the rain to start the curing process on top of your stone surface. This can lead to the joint sand becoming sticky to work with. Also that you get hardened hard joint that discolors on top of your paving surface.

Temperature during installation

ATTENTION! This product requires that the temperature exceeds 10 degrees Celsius for at least 24 hours when it is installed in order for the joint to harden properly. During the cooler months of the year, where the surface is constantly moist and the nights are cold, the product should not be used
